Here are a couple of drawings from the week, to view them large head to my flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/thenidefyyoustars/
On Friday it was really sweet, lots of people were interested in my drawings. Management lectures are a waste of time, they’re so boring, the videos are so cheesy and dated, so I got out my book and started drawing. The girl next to me was really interested and wanted to have a look, she smiled while she was looking over them and seemed to ‘get it’, sometimes I wonder whether people will get my sense of humour, but so far people seem to get it. A couple of her friends had a look too and they seemed to like it. In the break a couple of the boys who were sitting behind me started talking to me about it, saying I need to ‘market’ myself. One of them said he was really impressed, and that he doesn’t usually say that, so it meant alot. I love how creative things like art and music can get people talking, they’re such powerful mediums.
I’m nearly finished my Langhorne Slim @ the Borderline one, I just need to draw the National Gallery. I’m going to do one for the Time I Saw Chris Garneau and then Missed My Train. I’ll probably do ones for Okkervil River and Emmy The Great this week.
I’m almost out of my large (16 A4 sides) extended comic book diaries already, after I had a nice fresh batch printed a couple of weeks ago. My dad’s friend works at a university and kindly has them printed for me for free, so I should be getting a new batch soon. If you would like a copy please email me or leave a comment. I give them away for free, I love that people want to see them, so please do ask for one if you want one. I might see if I can leave some in Rough Trade or Pure Groove or something.
