Capturing Moods

This morning when I woke up at 6am to get a lift back to London the first thing I thought was “I want to listen to Capturing Moods”. I was too sleepy to do this at 6am, so after I got to London and had a nap I am now listening to The Execution Of All Things. Despite it being one of my favourite records ever, I haven’t listened to it in a month or two. I don’t know why. Too busy going to shows and listening to Beach House I guess. I really love every song on this record so much. I’m looking forward to Emmy the Great and Fee Fie Foe Fum later. I’m not sure how early I’ll need to get to Pure Groove for Emmy.

Here’s a great video of Rilo Kiley in 2002 playing Capturing Moods in Baltimore. I wish I was cool enough to¬†know about Rilo Kiley when I was 12. And lived in Baltmore. Then I could have been there. Jenny on bass, and she does a little scream. Awesome.

Hey, I read on CB’s blog you collapsed or something during the Fee Fie Foe Fum gig! You OK?

yeah, it wasn’t quite as epic as a collapse, but I got really dizzy and fained for like a second. It was really weird because the girl next to me had also fainted. I was fine after I got a coke, then I came back to my spot for Laura Marling so it wasn’t that bad.
