Knives Don’t Have Your Back

I never ‘forget’ how much I love Knives Don’t Have Your Back but occasionally a week will go by where I don’t actually listen to it. Shockingly 10 days went by since I last listened. I think I will listen to it 2 or 3 times today to make up for it. I just love this album so much. Emily Haines sings so beautifully and the songs are so perfect. I have listened to this record so many times, dozens and dozens of times, and I never get bored. I think I love it more with every listen. Such a special record to me. I like play counts on the ipod, it allows me to carry out geeky calculations. The 2 most played songs from Knives on my ipod are The Maid Needs A Maid and Winning, between them they have 277 plays (138 and 139 respectively, ooh so close). ¬†Between them they are 8 minutes 30 seconds long. Think of how many hours I’ve spent listening to these songs! Whoops, I am meant to be revising today, I have an exam tomorrow. If only the exam was on KDHYB, I’d get an A++

Not to put you off your revision, but Whispertown 2000 are playing End of the Road 2009. Which would suggest a London show mid-September.

Whaaaaaat? Where did you hear this? I AM SO HAPPY! YAY! I am going to give Knives a rest and listen to W2k. YAY! YAY! YAY! Perhaps I should save some of my student loan and go to EOTR this year.

I was thinking of going to EOTR this year as well, trying to find a way to work in the therapy tents so I get my ticket paid for :-) hard work though!

That would be awesome! Although you’d probably have to get in and then sneak off if you want to catch any bands.

Yeah, would probably only be able to catch the evening bands when I’ve finished or bands during the day when I had a break.
Maybe I could work as a therapist to the musicians…
