Psapp go Bandstand Busking

On a (very) cold late November lunchtime I went to see Psapp play at Arnold Circus bandstand. The bandstand area seems to be a congregation point for homeless people, local residents, as well as a variety of interesting characters, and on that particular day, Psapp.

Psapp have a quirky lovability that makes them stand out a bit from other bands. They have a ‘bone-o-phone’ and play with a fish with bells on it, for instance. Their Myspace page is a pretty interesting place to be too. The band seem to have a love of cats. Their top 8 is composed entirely of feline friends. Their influences include Cat Bush, Boomtown Cats, And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Cats, Godspeed! You Black Cat, among others. On their myspace player they have a cover of Everybody Wants To Be A Cat. The have a picture of themselves at London Zoo pretending to be cats. This is my kind of band! I have a sense of humor that makes anything cat-related appealing to me (I admit I laugh uncontrollably at LOL Cats). The Bandstand Busking session is up now on the Bandstand Busking website. Monster Song is my personal favourite. The band have a show at London’s Cargo on March 11th.

Hey, you have Tsuru as one of your links! I know that guy from my Arcade Fire fandom, he’s a very knowledgable bloke.
