There are an abundance of bearded folkies that deserve recognition. I am starting a new feature called Beard Of The Day. Beard of the day may also include mustaches and side burns, but ‘facial hair of the day’ was less snappy. To kick things off, here is beard king, Sam Beam.
Jesus + Marx + Santa Claus + Lion from wizard of Oz + Aslan the lion = Sam Beam. I would rate Sam Beam’s beard 10/10. A beard like that must require quite some maintenance, yet he manages to always look pretty neat and tidy. Listen to Iron and Wine.

I genuinely believe the world would be a better place if more men took it upon themselves to grow Sam Beam-esque beards. At the very least it would be alot cuter.
Sam Beam is LORD OF THE BEARD. Problem is that this feature has now peaked too early- how can anyone else possibly compete? Also, can you have Marla Hansen in your Eyewear of the Day thing? I think I want to marry her.
Well, we can compare other people’s beards to Sam’s and maybe one day we will have a worthy contestant. Yes I will include Marla Hansen in the Eyewear of the day thing.
