Review: Sky Larkin at Rough Trade

Out of the 50 acts I’ve seen this year, Sky Larkin are the first band I’ve seen twice. And if they played again I would see them again. We came into the store and saw the nice big vinyl copy of their new record The Golden Spike. I wanted it but we worked out that £13 equates to several dozen 19 pence bananas, and alas, I could not afford it. The band played Beeline, Matador, Fossil I and some others and it was brilliant. They have tour dates across Europe coming up and then an appearance at SXSW in March. Hopefully a London date some time after that, if they’re not to exhausted.
