Bodies of Water

I really love Bodies of Water alot. One of my favourite bands, for sure. Their songs are really epic and uplifting, and I’m so glad I had the chance to see them twice last year because I have a sad feeling that it’ll be a long while before they come back here. I’m not entirely sure if they’re a band anymore, I know David and Meredith have Music Go Music, but I’d love to see Bodies of Water again. They’re one of those bands that get really into the music while they’re playing it. The group vocals are perfect, I wish more bands would do it.

Here is the immensely epic Doves Circled The Sky:

Ooh, I never knew about Music Go Music- am listening to them now. Doesn’t seem as great as BoW yet, but shall see.

‘Water Here’ is an excellent song, but their first album was a lot better than their second one- so many cool upbeat danceable songs. It’s a shame they didn’t play more of their songs from the first album when they came over here, but I still didn’t get tired of them after seeing them three times in a few weeks I think. But still, play the first album live!!

Here’s a story I got from Meredith at one of the gigs, which her dad somehow found near-instantly and commented on!

I’ve not collected any stories this year yet though, tut.

I agree completely about the first album, it definately has a more uplifting feel. Especially on songs like Our Friends Appear…. And I wish they played some more oldies too. At Cargo I remember someone requested I Guess I’ll Forget The Sound and I really hoped they’d play it, but Meredith said something like ‘it’s ooold’ and played something else instead. Julie strummed the first chord though, teases!

I love your blog, I’ve seen it before! Definately get collecting on more stories soon :)
