Alessi’s Ark- The Asteroids Collide

Owwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. I miss Alessi. If you hang around me for a day you will probably hear me say ‘I miss Wildbirds & Peacedrums’ atleast a few times. That’s how it goes with me. When I have lots of my favourite band concentrated in a small space of time, a few days or a week, and then they go away it makes me miss their shows. I get too attached (!!!). I was trying to think what it is about them that I love so much, and I concluded it’s just because I love their songs. Simple as that. I love their songs and everything about them, each little detail. Oh, I seem to have gone off on a Wildbirds tangent, this post started out about Alessi. So yeah, I miss Alessi too (!!!). She has gone away on tour. After seeing her play so much I miss the Alessi-centric nature of my imminent live music calendar. It doesn’t help that I can’t seem to pull my ears away from Notes From The Treehouse, specifically The Asteroids Collide. I love every detail. A beautiful album. I love the artwork too, it has birds on it. I dig that, birds are win-worthy. I especially like the woodpecker. There’s also a little stumpy brown and white dotted bird which I think I love most. I want to hug it. It looks like it needs some sort of seeded treat, poor bird. There’s also a bird that looks a bit like a fish, like someone has thrown a fish to the tree. Kind of. I think you need the album artwork in front of you to know what I’m on about.

Anyway, listen to this, it’s my favourite song right now:

Love love love love love.
