Laura Gibson

September sees a migration of swoon-worthy bands to London, which has me pretty excited after a fairly quiet summer. One such swoon-worthy creater of music is Laura Gibson. She has a new album out this year, it’s called Beasts of Seasons and it is very wonderful. I also recommend the very sweet If You Come To Greet Me.

Laura plays on the 12th at End of the Road festival, and for me, is one of the must see artists. She’s also supporting Alela Diane at Shepherd’s Bush Empire on the 17th. I really hope to go, I’m sure it will be a beautiful show. I’m nervous about September because there’s so much stuff going on, gig clash potential is high. But providing nothing comes up to scupper my plans, I fully intend on attending that show. She also has a show on October 1st at Cafe OTO, but I think I am seeing Alessi play that day. We’ll see, we’ll see…

Listen to her songs here.
