I marauded across London to see Forest Fire play for free at Flowerpot (mmm aliteration). They were once again very, very good.
And I got to see the lovely Mr Adam Killip’s band The Tailors. What an unexpected treat!
More photos here.

I thought they flew back to the US after Friday nights gig – I wish I’d have known
Forgot to ask – did they play Sunshine City this time? Who sings that anyway as some photos have two girls in them – not just the lass who was playing drums. To be honest – I was a bit confused as to who is in that band.
No Sunshine City… the other girl that was in the band is called Myisha Battle I think, and I’m not sure whether it was her or Natalie who sung on that.
I was very impressed with the bass player – he was excellent. In fact, after the gig, he album isn’t the same for me any more – too tame and lacking something.
How did you find out about the second gig?
Sunshine city is sung by Sharon Van Etten.
One of the lovely guys who runs FF’s UK label is a friend…
@Adam, no way!! When I first heard it I was like ‘hey, this lady sounds ALOT like Sharon’ but then I was like ‘nahhhhhhhh, it’s not her’. That’s so bizarre. I feel stupid. No wonder it’s my favourite track on the album. Duh.
