This week was the first week since January where I had no shows whatsoever. It was a sad week. Actually, that’s a lie, it was a pretty nice week. I checked out that gross Antichrist movie with some friends, did a ton of drawing, went for Nando’s with Alessi, and ate a super tasty place called the Breakfast Club on Friday. But! This week is a return to normality, even though the summer months seem to be a bit slow show-wise.
On Monday Dent May is bringing his Magnificent Ukulele skills to delight everyone on their lunchbreaks at Farringdon’s Pure Groove cafe. Then in the evening I am meeting up with my friend Lynn who runs folky website For Folk’s Sake. We have some exciting things in the works, involving folky prehistoric mammals. We’re going to catch the Stars of Sunday League EP launch at the Luminaire. A ton of bands are there including a secret special guest, although, it’s not very secret at all and it’s pretty easy to figure out.
You can buy your ticket here. Luminaire is one of my favourite London music venues, I’m sure the show will be lovely.
