This beautiful paragraph was written by Jon Pareles for the New York Times:
The music hovered, coalesced and surged in inexorable crescendos behind Mr. Silberman’s fervent voice, an aching tenor that climbed into falsetto, shaping songs as anthems, elegies, waltzes and cries of anguish. When the lyrics were done, the songs continued, often in wordless vocal harmonies over tolling chords.
Put so wonderfully. The Antlers are so incredible live. Please, please, please buy a ticket to see them at the Union Chapel. I want everyone to get to see this brilliant, amazing band. You can read the whole NY Times review of the Bowery Ballroom show here. They sold that show out. I’m so happy for them. I won’t be surprised if they sell out Union Chapel.
